about me…
Hello I'm Roxy!
As a nature inspire artist, i weave threads of wellbeing and creativity by engaging people to reconnect with the natural world through my artwork and workshops. Specialising in crocheting woodland entire, my creations draw inspiration from the enchanting realms, fairy tales and folklore.
My passion extends to creating outdoor art from foraged and upcycled materials, shaping sculptures of all sizes from large instillations to tiny fairy houses usually having a way to invite the audience in to explore or touch.
I use collage to experiment with colours, shapes and text, expressing my initial plans and ideas. Drawn to the earthy tones, my work often evolves into abstract landscapes showcasing the beauty of the natural world. I find joy in exploring charity shops and car boot sales , always hunting for unique materials and trinkets to add to my work.
As a creative arts facilitator, I am deeply passionate about learning more about the forest school ethos and want to embed this into my sessions. I love working with children especially outdoors, encouraging a different learning environment. Exploring how these natural environments help young minds flourish, gaining artistic expression and overall wellbeing.
